sensory awareness

The language of the Forest isn’t spoken in words. Its grammar is formed in touch and texture. Its nouns are mixed from movement and motion, seen and felt. Its adjectives are heard in calls and cries, the rustling and the roaring. Its verbs are tasted on the tip of a tongue.

To listen to the language of the Forest is an invitation to awaken all of the senses. There is a great discourse taking place here; in the entanglement of life that lies on either side of the path, in the shifting air under the canopy, in the subterranean metropolis that lies in the earth beneath your feet.

What might we learn from the listening?
